Marrying European design and practical function, WMF manufactures state-of-the-art cutlery, cookware and tableware. For their exhibit at Ambiente Frankfurt 2011 – an international tradeshow for design and consumer goods – they required an outstanding showcase for their craftsmanship.
GPJ’s sister agency Raumtechnik began by creating an engaging event marketing environment. An airy two-story structure was built to emphasize WMF’s product quality in an elegant and realistic setting.
Visitors approaching the booth were immediately attracted to large video screens that encouraged them to “dive” into the highlight presentation. Shelves and tables along the outer edge of the space creatively displayed new products in a clean and uncluttered fashion.
Taking a step or two deeper into the environment, guests found themselves in a custom-designed WMF Urban Café. After ordering, they could watch a famous chef use WMF products to prepare their food in a live environment.
To continue the feeling of openness, the second story was designed to look as if it were floating above the ground level. Inside the second story was a collection of meeting rooms where attendees could speak with WMF representatives.
