Since 2016, the team at GPJ has been partnering with gaming developer Capcom to produce their premier esports event: Capcom Cup. Their flagship title, Street Fighter V regularly draws thousands of competitive players, pitting strategy and finesse against the best of the best. This event capped off months of regional tournament play culminating the Capcom Pro Tour to crown the best Street Fighter player in the world.

Solutions

The Capcom Cup featured over 250 of the best Street Fighter players with a live stream that engaged over 3 million unique views. On hand at the Esports Arena in Las Vegas, GPJ’s Esports tournament production team helped produced 2 days of programming with numerous interactive touch points for casual and diehard fans.  With $350,000 on the line, the final 32 players battled it out on the two show-stopping stages GPJ produced. Tournament organization, broadcast streaming, sponsor activities, venue management, after-party and half-time entertainment were all managed by GPJ. Each round garnered millions of views in celebration of Street Fighter and its 30 years in the gaming consciousness.
