Each year, Binance celebrates the crypto and blockchain industries through Binance Blockchain Week (BBW)—a global gathering of leaders, innovators, developers, and the wider Binance community. In 2024, BBW took place at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, drawing thousands to honor the industry’s progress and future.

Binance partnered with GPJ and Project Worldwide creative sister agency DARKHORSE to create the premier Web3 industry event that would be on everyone’s calendars for 2024. To achieve that goal, GPJ and DARKHORSE needed to tackle a few challenges:

  1. Spread awareness. Shine a spotlight on the blockchain industry and what it can do for the world’s crypto consumers.
  2. Educate and ensure trust. A lack of understanding creates uneasiness. Knowledge builds trust. 
  3. Reinforce Binance’s position. As the world’s leading cryptocurrency ecosystem, Binance has a special place in the community that deserves to be celebrated.

Embracing the theme of “momentum”, our teams from Singapore, Dubai and DARKHORSE stepped up to craft an impactful experience for Binance’s global audience.

This engaging, multi-sensory experience was designed with education, community, and networking in mind. BBW24 welcomed leading panelists to speak on a variety of meaningful blockchain, crypto, and Web3 topics, as well as hundreds of KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to connect with attendees and share their thought leadership. With three stages—the main stage able to seat 460 attendees—and over 30 activations on the show floor, BBW Dubai was a rich ecosystem for engagement.

Our teams made sure that Binance’s attendees didn’t just work hard–they played hard too. Interactive games like the Binance Candle Catch and the HODL Bar, a fully stocked swag station, fun photo ops, and special meet-and-greets helped transform the conference into a memorable experience for the Binance community.

In addition to the main experience, GPJ and DARKHORSE also produced and managed several surround activities, such as the Binance Official After Party and media reception. These experiences rounded out BBW Dubai, giving attendees a chance to exchange ideas, make meaningful connections, and unwind after a long but exciting day.

BBW24 was a smashing success. Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena welcomed over 4,600 in-person guests, nearly doubling the attendee count from BBW23. Attendees represented 126 different countries, as 60% of our attendees were from outside the UAE, solidifying BBW24 as the largest Binance event to date. A few other interesting stats include:  

BBW Dubai honorably reflected the international diversity of the crypto community with its guest speakers, bringing together a comprehensive mix of unique perspectives. With over 180 panelists (including Changpeng Zhao – commonly known as CZ, former CEO and co-founder of Binance), 307 KOLs, and 50+ supporting sponsors, the education shared at this event helped pull back the curtain for cryptocurrency, ensuring trust in Binance and the blockchain industry as a whole.

This experience set the standard for the crypto and blockchain community, spreading awareness of the industry like wildfire. With over 1,000,000 digital streams and 25,600+ posts on Binance Square, BBW Dubai’s social media engagement was off the charts:
