Large Format Print Operator

GPJ is looking for a Large Format Print Operator that will support the Graphic Production Supervisor in the operation of digital printing/laminating/cutting equipment and software to produce finished goods for multiple clients in Smyrna, TN fabrication facility. Our Opportunity

In this role, you will assure that produced graphics are ready for further assembly or finishing with high print quality and accurate color. You will be responsible for vinyl weeding, masking and application which could include vehicle wraps, wall wraps, installations on fixtures, furniture, etc. 

You will help train and coach other Large Format Print Operators to improve quality, educate on new techniquests, and improve process. You know how to delegate work for graphic production to meet tight job timelines and assure high production quality. 

You know how to communicate effectively with other team members to assure all requirements of the job are met. You are a master in job tracking, time management, file setup and manipulation as it relates to digital cutting. You know how to maintain equipment, including tracking and replenishing bits, blades, etc. 

You have experience with:

  •       RIP and printing jobs efficiently and effectively at a high level of quality.
  •       Maintaining color management and profile database
  •       Laminating substrates with no wrinkles, bubbles. etc.
  •       Applying vinyl wraps, decals, etc.
  •       Maintaining and delivering a high level of quality for every item.
  •       Organizing your workflow in a way that is easy for others to identify a job’s status at any given time.
  •       Delivering finished materials in an effective way to their next location.
  •       Constantly improving your abilities and understanding of different equipment and software functions.
  •       Identifying opportunities to improve the digital printing process.
  •       Working well in a deadline-driven and frequently stressful environment.

 

This position requires less than 5% travel. 

 

Who You Are & What You Will Bring

Experience: 5 years of previous large format print operation, preferably in experiential marketing or exhibits. Experience with digital print/lamination/plotter equipment and software. Knowledge of Adobe Suite, roll lamination and vinyl plotting/weeding/application..
