In this role as a Warehouse Lead at GPJ, you will supervise and train a team of Warehouse Specialists. You will manage client inventory, scan properties in and out of the warehouse, prep exhibit components for shows, and assemble/dismantle exhibits in the warehouse. You are always inspecting properties for damage.
You work well under pressure and balance priorities in a fast-moving work environment. You build positive relationships with many different inter-office departments, working closely with Project Managers to meet client expectations. You manage job timelines and identify both process and quality improvements.
This position requires no travel.
Who You Are & What You Will Bring
Experience: 3-5 years of previous warehouse or manufacturing experience in the tradeshow industry.
Team Player: You work well with others as well as independently.
Diligent: You are persistent and willing to change tactics in your efforts to accomplish your goals and get the information you need.
Perceptive: You understand that the ability to identify potential needs regarding the scope or difficulty of tasks (well in advance of need) is vital to this role’s success.
Deadline-Driven: You understand the need to complete tasks, within a given timeframe, is essential and required to be successful.
Responsible: Not only do you take pride in your work, but you hold yourself accountable for the tasks and jobs you are given and own your mistakes.
Flexibility and Adaptability: You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! You understand that you may be required to work irregular hours, nights and weekends, etc. as dictated by client deliverables.
- High school graduate or GED
- Good written or verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to use and read measuring devices such as a tape measure
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, set-up drawings, sketches, or plans for assembling exhibits
- Frequently lifting weight in excess of 25lbs
- Regularly required to stand
- Regularly required to use hands
