Our Opportunity
GPJ is hiring a Creative Project Manager to join our growing team.
This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: New York City, Boston or Austin, TX
Your Role
You work closely with the creative team, overseeing projects from the planning phase through delivery. In this role, you advocate for the creative team and remove any obstacles that may arise for them. As someone who values process and understands its importance in meeting deadlines, you spearhead process improvements when the current methods aren’t working for the team, striving to find solutions that accommodate all members.
You create and manage the creative timeline, ensuring all milestones are met, and you proactively flag any potential threats to deadlines, working collaboratively with the team to find resolutions. You are responsible for all creative requests that come in for your team, working with the creative lead to confirm that all necessary deliverables, assets, and information are in place for execution.
Furthermore, you collaborate with creative resourcing for program staffing and identify when additional resources need to be engaged. You support the creative lead with scoping during the planning phase of all projects, including involvement in the PM grid process and contributing where possible. Managing hours for your creative team in Deltek and working closely with Account Operations to resolve any inaccuracies also falls under your responsibilities. You schedule and lead creative status meetings for your team, as well as organizing creative team check-ins.
Attending all milestone meetings, you take notes and ensure the creative team is aligned on next steps. Finally, you set up and maintain the creative folders and Slack channels for your assigned programs.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to “speak the language” of other departments
- Comfortability presenting to people in leadership positions

- History working with cross-functional teams across account management, strategy, production, finance, etc
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Experience in ClickUp or Monday is a plus
- Confidence pushing back when the team is not receiving the information they need

Your Experience
Experience & Education
- 3-5 years of previous industry / agency experience.
- 3(+) years as a Project Manager
- 4 Year College Degree; preferred in Marketing/Advertising/Event Management/Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
Travel & Mobility
- Ability to travel 10%
- Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Salary Range: $75k – $90k
Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
