The Lone Star state is the ultimate destination for the thrill seeker in all of us. For Nissan, the State Fair of Texas was the perfect place to show how its vehicles are up for the challenge, and with the help of GPJ, we made it happen.
From Big Bend Country to the Hill Country, the Gulf Coast into the Piney-Woods of East Texas, a regional map of the state was brought to life as destinations within the Nissan experience to prove how Texas Thrills.
To encourage attendees to visit all the state regions (and corresponding Nissan vehicles), the Thrill Pass was a gamified journey that took young and old alike on an adventure through the regions, cashing out their stamped pass for a chance in the Thrill Machine and some fun Nissan swag.
Stamps were earned for participating in fun activities: the Titan Hang Challenge, taking a “Thrill” photo, playing Nissan Trivia, doing a vehicle walkaround, and more.
The Titan Hang Challenge had attendees test their strength and toughness. The Rogue Beach, a Texas coast inspired SUV/C-SUV zone included a beach tower information point for picking up swag and photo sharing, popsicles and Instagram-worthy backdrops and Nissan Armada storage and capacity demos.
Face painting and a “Find the Armadillo” challenge were great family fun that increased dwell time.
The engagement strategy for the season was a proven success, exceeding the show goals by 50%.
The Nissan space stood out from competitors, with fun engagements and daily activities that amplified the “Thrill” of Nissan, driving product engagement and capturing leads.
