A Mixed Reality Launch for the 2025 Kicks
When Nissan invited top automotive journalists to Santa Barbara for the launch of the All-New 2025 Nissan Kicks, they knew they had to bring something special. These were industry pros who had seen (and driven) it all. Getting them excited wasn’t going to be easy.
On top of that, the venue wasn’t exactly spacious. Nissan wanted a cutting-edge, interactive brand experience, but in a space where elbow room was a luxury, making a big impact required some serious creativity.

That’s where GPJ came in. Instead of just telling journalists about the 2025 Nissan Kicks, we let them experience it in a whole new way. GPJ’s Creative Tech team partnered with Nissan to develop a cutting-edge, immersive experience showcasing the 2025 Nissan Kicks, highlighting its design influences. They leveraged Apple Vision Pro (AVP) headsets, the latest in spatial computing technology, to create a personalized and interactive journey for each guest.
In a sleek, high-tech lounge, guests put on AVP headsets and stepped into an interactive world where the physical and digital blended seamlessly. Guided by docents, they explored a virtual recreation of the space, unlocking hidden details about the Kicks’ design by focusing on floating hotspots. AI-generated voiceovers provided insights, making the experience feel intuitive, immersive, and futuristic.

The coolest part? The tech connected real-world objects in the room to the features inside the car. Spot a pair of BOSE headphones on a shelf? The AVP headset triggered info about the premium BOSE speakers built into the Kicks’ headrests. This wasn’t just a gimmick—it was a smart, engaging way to show how the Kicks was designed with real drivers in mind.
Media reactions went from skeptical to impressed. The clients were thrilled, seeing firsthand how tech could completely transform how people interact with their brand. And the event set the stage for future immersive experiences, powered by storytelling through creative technology.
