GPJ is hiring a Senior Producer to join our growing Live Production team!

This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: Austin, Detroit, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, or San Francisco.

Your Role

As the Senior Producer, you play a pivotal role within our Live Production team, taking the lead or supporting the management and oversight of all aspects of LIVE and DIGITAL General Sessions, Product Launches, Dealer Meetings, Press Events, Special Events, and Consumer Events. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with clients, partners, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless and successful execution of each project.

Your Skills

  • Deliver innovative, award-winning projects that exceed client expectations
  • Establish and continuously review production policies and procedures to reflect the projects being delivered
  • Collaborate with Executive Management and Client Services leads on projects, proposals, or new business development opportunities to help define the scope and scale of the assignment for core team members
  • Lead the Live Production team, overseeing multiple program budgets and project schedules
  • Effectively organize, motivate, and lead the Production team
  • 7(+) years of Live Event Production experience
  • Strong skills in creating and managing program budgets
  • Knowledgeable in theatrical and technical staging (lighting, audio, video, and scenic)
  • Knowledgeable in the use of social media and technology integration in live events
  • Knowledgeable in rich media – producing videos, presentation graphics, digital media, and printed graphics
  • Experience with venue contracting, routing, and permitting
  • Solid reputation as a Production Executive with past clients, employers, suppliers, and staff/crews
  • Powerful resource database of world-class creative, production, and technical partners
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and research via the web
  • Highly proficient in cutting-edge live and digital event presentation technologies

Working in close concert with strategy, creative, other production teams, and client teams to communicate all stages of the production process and get everyone to the end goal.

Communication –Technical or Production Team leader adept at identifying, hiring, and mentoring skills and resources required to build teams that deliver robust solutions within a controlled project management environment. Strong communication skills with each member of the team (GPJ, Client, and Partners) in sharing information, advising, but being decisive as required to ensure success. Strong advocate for a safe environment for attendees and staff, ensuring each project has all required certifications and documentation.

Curiosity – Desire to discover, explore, learn, and expand knowledge of digital, technical, theatrical, and media elements to bring brands to life in the most effective way. Live production is one of the most powerful forms of communication in experience marketing, and your role is to partner with the strategy, creative, and account teams in bringing the best ideas forward and putting the strategy into action.

Your Experience

Experience & Education

A college degree is preferred but not mandatory. Study areas would include theater, film/video, business, project management, or other transferable experience.  7+ years of relevant production experience will be combined with your track record of success.

Travel & Mobility

Ability to travel 40-50%

Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary Range: $110k – $125k

Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
