Our Opportunity
GPJ is hiring a Producer for our Special Experiences team to join our growing team.
This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Las Vegas.
Your Role
You lead event production from beginning to end, covering discovery, design, development, delivery, post-event reporting, and budget reconciliation. You actively oversee the entire project, budget, and timeline, which includes managing event logistics, finances, fabrication, production schedules, vendor interactions, and creative deliverables. You serve as a primary point of contact for the client, managing the client relationship effectively.
Vendor activity and relationships are under your management, including communication, selection, quotes/orders, invoicing, on-site planning, and general oversight. You lead on-site event delivery and provide support to the event lead as needed.
Completing the closing and reconciliation process is a key responsibility, ensuring all aspects are addressed. You also contribute to mentoring and managing others within the team.
You have the ability to consider the broader impact of decisions and advise on options based on the situation. Understanding and adhering to all GPJ workflow processes is part of your approach. You create event case studies to showcase our Special Experiences offerings, demonstrating our capabilities.
Your Skills
- Mentor and manage others on Special Events team
- Builds full comprehensive budgets/estimates; manages/reconciles budget Able to identify and evaluate budget / financial issues
- Ability to understand on-site methodology, practices and requirements, as well as show and venue rules and regulations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficient with current software tools used in general business practice including WebEx, Smartsheet, Google Drive and associated programs
- Ability to write basic technical scope / brief to be provided to Technical Director and / or Technical Vendor for them to be able to further develop a production solution for the Producer to review/assess
- Read and understand a detailed technical scope / brief (developed by Technical Director) to ensure it is aligned with the overall vision and requirements for event delivery
- Drive new business objectives and be responsible for managing the RFP processes in collaboration with the Director of Special Events, Creative Director and Account Director – Act as point of contact for the team.
- Develop and drive RFP special event production responses, concept development, budget formation, RFP team coordination, timeline management, presentation writing and delivery of stand up presentation
- Drive special event production from client discovery and objective setting to creative inception and development, pre-show production management, onsite delivery and through post show production and wrap up
- Excellent communication and keeps team members and clients adhering to deliverables timelines
- Identifies risk and provides multiple in budget solutions
- Develop and maintain event decks including creative aspects like decor, look and feel, entertainment, activations as well as operational elements
- Food and beverage knowledge of menu design, staffing, placement, and presentation.

Your Experience
Experience & Education
- 5-8 years of experience
- 4 Year College Degree; preferred in Marketing/Advertising/Event Management/Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
Travel & Mobility
- Ability to travel as required – up to 20%
- Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Salary Range: $80k – $110k
Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
