Making a Difference

Making a Difference

Our people are hard wired to make a difference, for our clients, for each other, for our environment and for those in need.

Collectively and individually, our people are passionate ‘doers,’ and when we see a need, we act on it. So while we’re giving 110% for our clients, we’re going to do so in a way that is socially and environmentally conscientious, and we’re going to find ways to give back in our communities whenever and wherever we can.

And we’re not alone. The work of GPJ and our network of sister agencies is amplified by Project Worldwide, who recently launched its Project Pledge program, matching individual donations up to $5,000 a year and committing to give 1 million dollars annually to nonprofits.

Take a look and see how we’re making a difference.

In the Community

Our people are passionate people; not just about the work they do, but about the causes they believe in, which means that weekends often find them at a beach clean up or a Race for the Cure. We’ve scaled skyscrapers for the Make a Wish Foundation (ok, one brave soul scaled the building) and built homes with Habitat for Humanity. We’ve farmed for better urban nutrition and gone pink for breast cancer awareness.

What we find is that the more we work together in the community, the stronger our own community becomes. And that’s vital for the work that we do and the organization we want to be.

In Our Client Work

We love partnering with our clients to make a difference socially and environmentally. Some of our proudest moments come from creating meaningful change together with our clients, whether that’s packing meals with IBM for Stop Hunger Now or writing letters to Veterans and packing night-night kits for kids in foster care with Salesforce.

Sometimes it’s making simple choices that help the environment and save our clients money; using bubblers instead of bottled water for example. And sometimes it’s top to bottom partnership examining every aspect for sustainability, like the dedicated teams we’ve developed for Dreamforce, where for the past two years we’ve realized massive reductions in waste and energy consumption, by design and with specific goals.

In 2016, Dreamforce attendees helped raise 2 million dollars for RED to help end AIDS, with a prominently placed activation in Dream Park.

Green Angels help Dreamforce attendees sort trash, recycling and compost, diverting tons of materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Every day at Dreamforce, there’s a new opportunity to give back. Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read Sing supports early childhood development through language development, specifically for under privileged children. Attendees helped package materials while learning about the program.
